I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a family that always valued education. My parents are both retired teachers, my mom, an elementary teacher and my dad, a high school health and PE teacher/basketball, football coach. My brother and I are now elementary teachers as well.
I am married and have two lovely girls, Olivia, who is nineteen and has graduated from Eisenhower High School here in Goddard and has been attending Pittsburg State University and Sophia who is seventeen and is a senior at Eisenhower High School. In my spare time I like to exercise, shop and spend time with my family and friends.
I graduated from Newman University and began working as a full time teacher once my youngest child began attending first grade. That is when I accepted a first grade position at Oak Street Elementary in Goddard. Shortly after, I completed my Master’s Degree in Education through Baker University.
I’ve taught for a total of 11 years. I’ve had a wonderful experience teaching 7 years in first grade and 1 year in second grade at Oak Street. I then had an opportunity to move to Apollo Elementary teaching first grade in the 2014-2015 school year. I am really excited because last year I had the opportunity to move back to teach my favorite grade level: 2nd grade! Teaching at Apollo has been a wonderful experience and I am excited to teach many more years here! It is a great place to be!
I look forward to working with you and your child to make second grade a fun, successful, and memorable educational experience.
Always know that I am available if you ever have any questions and concerns.
