I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a family that always valued education. My parents are both retired teachers, my mom, an elementary teacher and my dad, a high school health and PE teacher/basketball, football coach. My brother and I are now elementary teachers as well.
I am married and have two lovely girls, Olivia and Sophia, who have both graduated from Eisenhower High School here in Goddard and will both be attending Kansas State University. In my spare time I like to exercise, shop, visit my girls in College and spend time with my family and friends.
I graduated from Newman University and began working as a full time teacher once my youngest child began attending first grade. That is when I accepted a first grade position at Oak Street Elementary in Goddard. Shortly after, I completed my Master’s Degree in Education through Baker University.
I’ve taught for a total of 12 years. I’ve had a wonderful experience teaching 8 years at Oak Street Elementary in Goddard. I then had an opportunity to move to Apollo Elementary and am now teaching my favorite grade level: 2nd grade! Teaching at Apollo has been a wonderful experience and I am excited to teach many more years here! It is a great place to be!
I look forward to working with you and your child to make second grade a fun, successful, and memorable educational experience.
Always know that I am available if you ever have any questions and concerns.
