Mrs. Morehead's 4th grade class wrote a book!
We asked her to tell us a little more about this, and this is what she had to say.
"Honestly, I came across a Facebook advertisement
from a local publishing company called Studentreasures. I instantly did some detective work and learned they have a positive and reputable reputation. I went ahead and ordered a writing kit for my class! I was so excited when the kit arrived and I couldn't wait to show my kids. As soon as I presented it to them and told them that they had a special opportunity to become published authors, they were all in!
I explained that it was going to be a lot of hard work, but I would be there to help them along the way. The kit provided all the materials we needed, including wonderful visuals for us to track our progress. We started with a brainstorming session finally deciding on our theme for our book. We had just finished our unit on fairy tales and we all agreed that this was perfect to show off their hard work. We talked to our parents about this idea during our fall conferences and received nothing but full support, which added to my excitement!
I am so proud of these kids for not only accepting the challenge but also for persevering through the entire writing process! When we received our finished product in the mail, their excitement was well worth it! I see some brilliant writers in the future!"
