Apollo Staff Recognized with YOU ROCK Awards

This month we hosted our first "Family Assembly" which is an opportunity for staff to have fun, recognize and affirm each other for the incredible work they do, and model for the students how we ALL follow our Social Contract and Capturing Kids' Hearts "Word of the Month".

Our assembly begins with two teams (or departments) facing off in a "Family Feud" style competition. The students were energized cheering for their favorite staff to win throughout the game. Our Related Services Department faced our Specials Department with Related Services taking home the Round 1 win! Each month we will have different teams and departments compete until we have a Champion crowned at the end of the year!

We then moved into our first passing of the Apollo "YOU ROCK" Awards. These consist of small decorated rocks with each rock highlighting a different Capturing Kids' Hearts "Word of the Month". For this month, we focused on Responsibility and Cooperation. The two staff members recognized were:

"PurposeFULL with Responsibility"
Mr. Tim - Building Substitute

Mr. C states, "Tim is someone who is always willing to do anything and everything that is asked of him in order to serve our staff and students. His ability to adapt to the circumstance or situation plays a vital role in our day-to-day success as a school. Mr. Tim is a shining example of Responsibility."

"PurposeFULL with Cooperation"
Miss Montgomery - Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Ebert states, "Ms. Montgomery consistently demonstrates a remarkable ability to work harmoniously with colleagues, students, and parents, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Her dedication to teamwork enhances the effectiveness of our school community and serves as an excellent example of the positive impact cooperation has in achieving our collective goals."

"You Rock Award"
Mrs. Lampe - Special Education Teacher

Mr. C stated, "Mrs. Lampe is as selfless and willing to serve as they come. She does an incredible job of supporting and working closely with various staff in order to best serve all of our 4th Grade students. She goes above and beyond, does whatever it takes, and always keeps a "student first" attitude and mentality. It is an honor to present to her our very first "You Rock Award"."
