Gina Lamberger, our dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist, has achieved an incredible milestone for our Apollo school community by winning a prestigious grant to support student well-being. This funding will bring "Regulation Stations" and classroom regulation kits to life, providing innovative tools to help students manage their emotions and focus on learning. With Gina’s expertise and unwavering commitment to fostering a nurturing environment, these resources will empower students and educators alike, transforming classrooms into spaces where self-regulation and growth flourish.
Here is an example of what she submitted to the Goddard Education Foundation for this grant.
"Educational Outcome: When students sensory and regulation needs are met they are able to
engage and focus with classroom activities and learning. These tools will be ongoing and
available throughout all grade levels. If students learn to regulate in their early education years,
hopefully they will be able to meet those needs independently in their future classes and
schools."
