One of our first grade classes has something big to celebrate! Mrs. Schardin’s class was recently recognized by Prodigy Math for answering the most correct math questions in the entire state of Kansas during the month of December!!
Known affectionately as Mrs. Schardin’s Smarties, these students are absolutely over the moon about playing Prodigy! Whether it’s during math time, stations, or free choice on the computers. Their enthusiasm and friendly competition inspired Mrs. Schardin to enter the class into a Prodigy competition, and the Smarties rose to the challenge in a big way.
Through hard work, determination, and teamwork, our school earned the Prodigy State Championship, beating out schools across Kansas. Even more exciting, this accomplishment means our school has officially qualified for the Prodigy National Cup in May!
Mrs. Schardin shared, “I am so proud of their excitement, effort, and teamwork. They truly rose to the challenge!”
Congratulations to Mrs. Schardin and her Smarties on their impressive work, and for proving that learning can be fun, competitive, and incredibly rewarding. We can’t wait to cheer them on as they represent our school on the national stage! 🎉✨
