Mrs. Meyer's class has a special message for Apollo Families!

Congratulations Sarah Mater, Kindergarten Teacher at Apollo Elementary School, for receiving the District Attitude Award!
Her nominator wrote, “Sarah Mater is the definition of a teacher who goes above and beyond in her classroom to provide the most impactful, enriching, and positive learning environment for her students. Do you hear those people talk about that one teacher they will never forget? I personally know that will be the case for my daughter.
As a teacher, I know what's expected of us, and she goes above and beyond daily. My daughter has excelled in her class with reading, math and beyond because of Ms. Mater's instructional design. Whatever student has the opportunity to be in her class will be impacted positively for life. She is an invaluable asset for Goddard USD #265!”

Join us for the final PTO Meeting of the year. Tomorrow, May 15th at 5:00pm in the Apollo library

We are excited to share that Apollo has been recognized as 1 of 612 schools across the nation to be recognized as a @iheartckh National Showcase School. This award recognizes and celebrates schools producing exemplary outcomes using the Capturing Kids' Hearts Process. We are proud to announce Apollo Elementary School has been named a @PLTWorg 2023-24 Distinguished Launch School for our commitment to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in our Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs. Please help us congratulate Mrs. Brown, Kindergarten Teacher, on being awarded the "YOU ROCK Award"! Mrs. Brown stepped into a very difficult situation this year when a new section of Kindergarten opened just before Open House. Since that moment, she has been willing and ready for the challenge. Mrs. Brown has created a great classroom culture and works hard to support her students in various ways. Whenever stepping into her classroom, you can see how much she values and cares about each of the students in her class. We are so thankful that Mrs. Brown chose to join our team!

Our day is bringing lots of "Happiness" to our Staff!! Sweet treats, and popcorn from the PTO!
Our giftcard winners today are Mrs. Cline, and Mrs. Holder! Your stalking paid off ladies!!

Please help us congratulate Mrs. Fosse, Social Worker, on being awarded the "PurposeFULL with Responsibility" rock for April. She shows up everyday ready to support the students and teachers at Apollo without complaint. She always has the best interests of her students in mind and is always willing to step up to help. She has been very flexible this year with changes, and takes on more tasks and duties than just what her job title entails. Mrs. Fosse always encourages others to be their best but in reality, she is the best!!

We are living in our "Apple Era" here at Apollo!!
Thank you PTO for the amazing Apple Bar set up for Staff Appreciation Week!
Mrs. Morehead, and Mrs. Somers also caught Taylor Swift hiding around the halls this morning!

Complete your student's verification for the 24-25 school year NOW! If you have any questions, are not returning to Apollo, or need assistance. Please contact the Apollo office.
Thank you!
